DMV Foundation Solutions began as Harry Braswell Inc—digging trenches, sealing basements, and doing honest work throughout the D.C. metro area.
As a family-run company based in Alexandria, VA, we grew through referrals and relationships, not ads. Over time, we expanded to offer full-service foundation repair, crawl space encapsulation, drainage solutions, and basement conversions, rebranding to reflect our broader expertise.

Owner & Foundation Repair Specialist

I began my journey with Harry Braswell Inc., our parent company, in 2019 with what was supposed to just be a summertime gig as a field technician. Over the past five years, we’ve transformed what started as a small initiative into a full-fledged foundation repair and waterproofing company—DMV Foundation Solutions. Initially, we created the waterproofing division to address recurring waterproofing issues in our Build & Design projects. However, with the help of key players and my inability to stay stagnant, we soon expanded beyond that, working with other contractors and broadening our residential services throughout the greater DMV area. Our mission now is to become a trusted resource for all things related to foundation repair and waterproofing for our friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
Growing up, basements were completely foreign to me. I spent the first nine years of my life in Cuba, where they simply don’t exist. My family and I immigrated to the U.S. when I was nine, chasing the classic American dream. Yes, it’s one of those stories! We settled in Miami, Florida—another place with no basements—until I left to attend Franklin and Marshall College (F&M) in Lancaster, PA, on a leadership scholarship from the Posse Foundation. My time at F&M honed my critical thinking and leadership skills, both of which have been vital in growing and running DMV Foundation Solutions.
It’s also where I met my wife, Jane, who plays a crucial role in growing our business while we also grow our family. Jane is a proud Alexandria native, and it means a lot to us both that our family-run business is contributing to the community here.
As a resident of Alexandria, I share Jane’s pride and am committed to making DMV Foundation Solutions a trusted part of the community. We’re here to support our neighbors as they navigate the water-related challenges common to this area. I grew up in DC and now live in West Virginia. I have been in the construction industry since 2005 but found my niche in heavy equipment operating around 2010 when I started demoing homes and excavating additions for multiple concrete companies. I’ve been with DMV Foundation Solutions since its inception in 2019 and now manage every job we perform. While our specialists offer you a tailored solution to improve your home, I’m the one that gets it done with the help of my hardworking crews. When I’m not working, you’ll find me biking or skiing with my kids.

Waterproofing Specialist

I was born in Buffalo, NY but grew up mostly in Northern VA. I’ve long been passionate about anything and everything water related. I wanted to do more work with stormwater management and helping to protect our waterways from pollutants. Looking at jobs related to water; I was intrigued by interior waterproofing with its relation to helping people protect their homes from harmful effects related to water. DMV Foundation Solutions felt like the perfect opportunity to combine my passion for creative problem solving with protecting homes from water damage. As our Waterproofing Specialist, I bring a unique set of problem-solving skills and a focus on client relations to help homeowners resolve their foundation issues. When not on the job, you will likely find me skateboarding, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, gardening, or fishing.

Originally born and raised in Virginia Beach, I now live here in Alexandria, Va. My husband and I moved here to continue our education. I keep the gears turning behind the scenes here at DMV Foundation Solutions, so our team can bring solid solutions and great service to every job. From scheduling and support to making sure nothing falls through the cracks, I’m here to make the important work we do run smoothly. When I’m not organizing the chaos (with a smile), you can find me out in nature, painting, or planning my next travel adventure. I’m also a huge fan of a good cup of coffee and spending time with my family and furry sidekick Milo.

I spent my early childhood in Alexandria, VA – a community I am proud to now serve with DMV Foundation Solutions. I originally joined the company in an administrative role to help lay the groundwork for growth, and now I lead our growth initiatives, focusing on marketing and reporting. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time in nature with my little family. I’m also a devoted volunteer for a local nonprofit that installs flow devices in beaver ponds within the DMV area to promote coexistence. Beavers may build dams, but I like to think we’re both in the business of managing water—mine just involves fewer sticks and more drain board.

Milo is the four-legged force behind our front desk operations. A loyal companion to our Office Manager, Milo spends his days patrolling the office, supervising snack times, and offering unsolicited input during team meetings.
